In carrying out its activity plans, UAB „Soltera" develops agro-perlite production guided by circular economy and environmental friendliness principles — all manufactured products are environmentally friendly and do not pollute nature. The company aims to reduce its use of fossil-fuel-based energy, thereby lowering energy costs.

Following the recommendations of a technological audit, the company plans to install a 500 kW solar plant under the project „UAB „Soltera" 500 kW RES" No. 02-011-K-0064. The solar plant will significantly reduce electricity costs, lower product cost, and strengthen competitiveness.

The project will contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy in final energy consumption, while encouraging broader renewable energy use across industry. It will help mitigate climate change, address air pollution, improve resource efficiency, and reduce dependence on energy imports.

Funding was awarded under the 2022–2030 development programme of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, Economic Transformation and Competitiveness Development Programme, progress measure No. 05-001-01-04-02 „Encouraging companies to transition to a climate-neutral economy", activity „Promoting renewable energy deployment in industrial enterprises (Central and Western Lithuania region)" — €197,193 in support from the European Regional Development Fund.
